There are lots of
attractions within Morecambe, that you can enjoy during your relaxing stay in
the town.

popular local attraction.

* The Midland Hotel is a
local art deco landmark, offering good afternoon teas
* The Platform music venue is
opposite the Midland
* The Station pub is next
door to the Platform, offering two meals for £7
* Gala Bingo is a very
popular place, located close to the Town Hall.
* Eric Morecambe statue
stands close by the Clock Tower, celebrating the town’s most famous son
* Heysham village is not far
away, if you fancy a stroll down the promenade?
In Heysham there are local
ruins, a old church and a village hall offering teas and coffees.
Heysham Heritage centre is
also well worth a look if you’re interested in history.
For those particularly
active visitors, there are cross bay walks offered between May and October.

Easter
Eggstravanza (25-27 March)
held in Festival Market, which is next to the cinema.
The Bard by the
Beach (22-24 April) celebrating
400 years of Shakespeare. It includes theatre, art, literature and music, and
is split between the Platform, the Winter Gardens and Morecambe Library.
North Lancs
Soul festival (20-22 May)
celebrating the 10th anniversary of the festival in the Platform
The Kite
festival (16-17 July) the sky is
filled with multi coloured kites of varying sizes, it's beautiful to see.
Morecambe Live
Weekender (26-28 August) Tribute acts
and local musicians perform for free
Vintage by the
sea (3-4 September)
Halloween
Spooktacular (30 October)
free festival in the Festival Market.
Lantern
festival (December) Hundreds carry
hand made lanterns in a procession through the West End. The procession
includes musicians, street performers and even a choir.
